Howdy,
I am Victoria Cheek and I am coaching 15 Ascend this 2024-2025 season. This is my second season coaching for BC Rise. Prior to coaching volleyball, I played club volleyball for 5 seasons (14-17) and competed at the Junior Olympics my 16’s year. I was very active in the recruiting process (emails, videos, college showcases, college visits) but declined offers to compete at the higher level to pursue a chemical engineering degree from Texas A&M. In addition to my club experiences, I was a 4-year letterman on a 5A volleyball program. Our team placed 3rd back-to-back at the state tournament. Individually, I won area defensive player of the year and my schools most athletic female athlete.
All of this to say, I have competed and trained with some of the best coaches in my area and I am loving sharing not only the technical, but life skills volleyball has taught me to develop our BC Rise Athletes.
